Veterans Day - Honoring And Thanking All Who Served

When our perils are past, shall our gratitude sleep?...Michel de Montaigne

The following are some suggestions to honor and thank all who served:

  • If you know any veterans, thank them for their service.

  • Try attending one of many Veterans Day activities and parades.

  • Visit a military and veteran cemetery.
  • Visit a local military and veteran memorial.

  • If you live near a VA medical facility, pay the vets there a visit. They will appreciate it.

  • If you know any senior veterans, pay them a visit.

  • If you are an employer consider hiring a vet.

  • Don't forget our homeless veterans

  • Many businesses will be offering discounts this week for veterans.

  • Remember all who served

"The willingness by which our young people are likely to serve in any war, no matter how justified, shall be directly proportional to how they perceive the veterans of earlier wars were treated and appreciated by our nation."  George Washington
