Dedicated to Heroes Applauds House for Passage of Veteran's Jobs Bill

"Congress should stop treating veterans like they are asking for a handout when it comes to the benefits they were promised. And they should realize that, if it were not for these veterans, there would be nothing to hand out."---Nick Lampson

The House of Representatives passed The Veteran Opportunity To Work Act (VOW---HR 2433). The legislation was initially introduced by Chairman Jeff Miller (R-Fl).

VOW will enable veterans to transition from military to civilian life. Just as important, it will harden job protection for deployed service members.

The Bill now moves to the Senate. Contact your Senator TODAY (www.senate.gov/)  It is hoped it will be signed by Pres. Obama BEFORE Veterans Day next month.

How important is this legislation? Iraq and Afghanistan veteran unemployment now stands at 11.7% up from almost 10% just two months ago.

Again, contact your Senator now!!!
